Hal and Brian, Paul Ferson aboard his Glades SkiffEnclosed is a picture of me running the Glades Skiff on a duck hunt on Lake Champlain. Notice the camo push pole. I was amazed at how easy the platform came off. Great engineering. The skiff is the PERFECT boat for the marshes of Lake Champlain and the Hudson. I can shove that thing into the skinniest spots and it literally disappears in the marsh grass. Yesterday I found a marshy point with some trees, threw out the dekes, shoved the boat up under the trees and sat on the back end with my feet in about 5 inches of water. It was like hunting from an easy chair. Gear and dog behind me in the boat. All I need now is a little cold weather and more ducks, but the boat is everything you promised and more. Needless to say it's turned a few heads up here. You might consider an experimental camo skiff. Hope all is well with you guys. Jimbo sounds extremely happy. That's a good thing. All the best, Paul Fersen |
