Chris,
I just had a long talk with my good friend Mitch Howell - he is very
excited about his new boat and I am pleased to hear that you guys are
up and running again. I have been wanting to trade my Marquesa for a
new model but was waiting till you were settled in and back to full
production before bothering you. I hope that time is at hand. I am sorry
for having to resort to e-mail to discuss particulars and if this format
is not appropriate please tell me. I will not have a free weekday during
business hours for some time so I thought we might get some things done
here. …
I hope you understand how big an ambassador of the Marquesa I am. When
I have another child I am going to name it Marquesa…
This boat changed the way I think about how a boat should work, fish,
run, last, and be built. It made guiding fun again. I t also makes it
easy to stay dry and comfy in seriously crappy weather. I hope you guys
will carry on the tradition that Hal started up at HellsBay. I enjoyed
talking to you in Islamorada when you were down with Greg Poland a month
or so ago. I will look forward to speaking with you again soon.
Good Luck,
Bob Branham
Please feel free to use anything I say to help your cause. Sometimes
when I talk about the Marquesa I feel like a born again religious freak-but
I can't hide my enthusiasm. I really like your boat and am happy to
be associated with it. I am going to try to come up there with Mitch
in early June-perhaps we can talk then.
